The video streaming works, but the app lagged more than I expected. The live feed took 2 to 3 seconds to load, which is long enough to make you wonder if it is working. One buyer from Illinois reported: “The camera is nice but the app is slow.” I experienced the same delay.
The belt drive is quiet, and the installation was straightforward. The safety sensors are well-built, which is more than I can say for most openers I’ve installed. If you do not care about the battery backup, this is a solid choice.

I tested this in my detached shop, which is about 80 feet from the router through two walls. The standard meross kit dropped the connection intermittently. The external antenna version held a solid connection the entire time.
The tradeoff is that the antenna is bulky. It is a plastic box with a wire sticking out, and it looks out of place on the ceiling. One buyer from Michigan wrote: “Works great but it’s ugly.” That is fair.
It does not support Apple HomeKit, which is a miss if you are in the Apple ecosystem. The standard meross kit does.
Chamberlain B4643T with Camera

The only reason I am mentioning it separately is that both listings appear in Amazon search results, and buyers get confused. One buyer from Arizona wrote: “I ordered this and got the same thing as the other listing.” That is correct.
What else to consider
The meross standard kit is the one I recommend to most people. It is cheap, it works, and it does not require replacing a perfectly good opener. The external antenna version is for the rare case where your Wi-Fi signal is weak.
The Chamberlain B4643T is the best full replacement if you need a camera and battery backup. The B6753T is the value pick in the Chamberlain lineup if you can live without the battery.
Should you buy the Chamberlain B4643T?
If your garage is attached to your bedroom, you want a quiet belt drive, and you want to check the door from your phone, yes. The camera is genuinely useful, and the battery backup is worth the price premium. The myQ app is frustrating during setup, but it works once it is connected. This is the best smart opener I have tested, and the one I would buy for myself.

If you already have a working opener and you just want smart features, yes. This is the best value in the category. It costs a fraction of a full replacement, it works with Apple HomeKit, and the app is the most reliable I tested. Skip it if you need a camera or battery backup.
